The Journey To $1 Million Dollars Worth Of Dreams And Goals Can Start With Pennies!

A while ago, I started putting loose change inside of a small plastic sandwich bag along my with my paper money that I carried around to contain the spread of germs - not to mention that I carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer with me as well (lol). Once the small plastic sandwich bag became filled with coins, I took a small glass jar that I had in storage, cleaned it up, dumped the change in it, and started saving more loose change inside the glass jar.
Even when I was out and about running errands and saw coins on the ground, whether it was a penny, nickel, or dime (Quarters are a rare find (lol)), I would put them in the glass jar. I remember going into a store a while ago and noticed a lot of scattered pennies on the ground. I felt like I hit the glass jar jackpot! It had to be about 15 to 20 pennies on the ground! Wherever I go, I usually come across a coin or two on any given day and I throw them in the glass jar.
I will admit that I have taken some quarters and loose change from the jar at times for the parking meter and snacks when I didn't want to break a paper bill. However, I do not make it a regular habit.
Sometimes in life, we set goals and have setbacks. Our goals can be small or big and it's said that if the goals that we set do not scare us, then they aren't big enough. Start small, dream big, and never allow big goals to intimidate you to quit indefinitely! You have to make a start somewhere and starting something that may scare you or seems too big can be the hardest part.
Soon, I will be 50 years old. I will never claim that I am old, but I am not in my 20s anymore and I love to think that I am getting older, wiser, and better. So, I move as if tomorrow is not promised when I work on my goals, but with a promise to myself that today I will give it my best to make positive moves toward my goals.
If you have not already done so, I encourage you to take the first step in working on your goals by acquiring the necessary and relevant knowledge. Break your goals into chunks, master the smaller tasks, and build momentum for bigger tasks. Just get started so you can be on the path of progress. Life doesn't always play fair and the unexpected may happen so pull yourself together, re-focus, and keep working toward your goals. It's okay to start small and build. Go little by little until you reach your goals whether it be to buy yourself or someone an outfit or gift, go to college, save for a car or vacation, buy a home, start your own business, etc.
Before you realize it, you'll have figuratively (or literally) turned pennies and loose change into $1 Million Dollars or more worth of dreams, goals, and success! My story is to inspire you to see how things like starting small, self-discipline, and persistence can help you grow and reach goals. I encourage and challenge you to start and/or continue to work on and grow your goals. Perhaps, you can start a loose coin or another challenge that can help you work on your goals. By the way, I am on my 11th jar of loose change savings. Here is where my loose change collection is now:
